Last week, the brothers of IL-Gamma celebrated Homecoming (AKA MoCo Hoco)! Here’s a recap of their busy and action-packed week.
Tuesday night the brothers placed 1st in the Trivia Night competition (shoutout to Elijah Lind, Luke Mulcrone, Tommy Green, Drew Cliffel, and Cullen Marshall for competing)! On Thursday night, they placed 4th in the Cardboard Boat Regatta (shoutout to Elijah and Cullen for competing, and also to Joey Feenstra and Tommy for being on deck). During the day on Friday, they hung up their homecoming banner (shoutout to Michael Gonzalez and Joey for heading it up and to Elijah, Luke, and Cullen for helping).
Friday night was Spirit Shout, where they placed 3rd in the Shout category (shoutout to Tommy for coming up with it and Elijah and Cullen for helping)! That same night, their group with Kappa Kappa Gamma and Phi Delta Theta also placed 1st in the Dance category (shoutout to Elijah and Cullen for the impressive dance moves)!
Saturday, they participated in the parade and continued their tradition of the SigEp kazoo band. They also hosted a cookout along with their Alumni and Volunteer Corporation (AVC) at their former house in the old Fraternity Complex. There, they got to chat with alumni and some potential new members! It was a great place to watch the Scots win the homecoming game.
On Saturday night, five of the brothers (Joey, Elijah, Tommy, Drew, and Conner DeVilder) participated in the Homecoming Concert as members of Chorale, Chamber Choir, and Concert Choir. On Sunday, Joey also performed in the Winds Ensemble Concert.
When the week was finished, SigEp placed 3rd overall in ASAP’s (Association for Student Activity Programming) homecoming competition! All of the brothers worked extremely hard as individuals and as a chapter this past week, and they’re incredibly glad that it paid off!
