On Saturday, December 4th, 2021, we celebrated the annual Christmas at Monmouth concert, with several IL-Gamma brothers, lavaliers, and alumni taking part.
Tommy Green and distinguished alum Brian “Big Red” Jordan performed in the Concert Choir, singing Angels’ Carol and The Very Best Time of Year.
Joey Feenstra and Will Plumley played the trumpet and the tuba in the Wind Ensemble. They performed A Christmas Celebration and Pacem, A Hymn for Peace.
Drew Cliffel, Conner DeVilder, Joey, Elijah Lind, and lavaliers Kaitlyn Fisher and Kaitlyn McCullough all performed in the Chorale. They sang Make We Joy, Haec Dies, Here Mid the Ass and Oxen Mild, a Choral Meditation on “The Holly and the Ivy”, and Glory, Glory, Glory to the Newborn King.
Drew, Conner, Elijah, Kaitlyn F, and Kaitlyn M also performed in the Chamber Choir (with a special appearance and solo by Santa Elijah himself!). They sang Nowell, Mid-Winter, and Jingle Bells.
At the end, all the choirs and the wind ensemble joined together to perform Joy to the World and Silent Night, with the audience joining in. It was a wonderful night filled with amazing performances all around. It’s a beloved tradition at Monmouth, and we all felt blessed that we could share it with each other in person this year.
